Nigeria National League side, Abia Comets have announced a six-day break for the team as the first stanza of the league comes to an end, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

In a statement via its X handle, the club announced that the team will go on a week break and return by Monday, March 10.
"The management of Abia Comets Football Club of Umuahia has announced that the team will embark on a six-day mid-season break effective Tuesday, March 4th, 2025. following the conclusion of the first round of the Nigeria National League (NNL) season," the statement read.
"A statement by the management stated that the players are expected to return to camp latest Monday 10th March, 2025, As training resumes on Tuesday, 11th March 2025, at 3pm."
The NNL, which will go on a mid-season break of two weeks, resumes on Friday, 21st March through Sunday, 23rd March.
Registration of new players off the transfer window endson the 19th of March at 4PM.
