Barcelona set to secure Marc Bernal’s future with €500m release clause

Barcelona are close to extending Marc Bernal’s contract, with the highly rated midfielder expected to sign a new long-term agreement running until 2031.

According to Mundo Deportivo, the 19-year-old’s release clause will remain unchanged at €500m under the proposed deal.

Bernal came through Barcelona’s academy and has been part of the club’s first team since 2024. His current contract with the Catalan club is due to expire at the end of June 2029.

The midfielder’s market value is estimated at €30m by Transfermarkt.
