Bruno Onyemaechi completes move to Olympiacos FC

Super Eagles defender Bruno Onyemaechi has completed his transfer to Greek side, Olympiacos FC, joining from Portuguese club Boavista where he amassed 77 appearances, scoring five goals and providing three assists, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The left-back will immediately join up with the team who are currently first on the Super League Greece standings as they push for a historic 48th championship title.

The left-back who is a regular of the Nigeria national team with 11 caps spoke to the club media following his move; “First of all, I’m really happy to be here. When I first told my family about it, they all accepted it. Now I’m looking forward to it and hope to see the supporters in the stadium.

“I looked at the possibilities of playing in Europe; this is what drove me more to be here, and I’m really happy to be here," he added.

The 25-year-old left-back has committed to the Red and Whites for the next four years, making him their third acquisition this summer, following the signings of Horta and Betancourt.
