Italy’s Federal Prosecutor has fined Brescia €12,000 (approximately ?19.2 million) for racist chants directed at Ebenezer Akinsanmiro during a Serie B match, Nigeriasoccernet.com has gathered.

Akinsanmiro, on loan from Inter Milan to Sampdoria, was targeted, prompting the referee to briefly suspend the game. Despite the severity of the incident, the Serie B Sports Judge opted against closing any sections of Brescia's stadium.

The Lega B statement confirmed the penalty, emphasizing the discriminatory behavior of Brescia fans during the 22nd minute of the first half.
