Bayern Munich are interested in signing Barcelona defender Jules Kounde, according to Bild, with the French international facing increased uncertainty over his role at the Catalan club.
The 27-year-old has started only two of his five appearances this season and was an unused substitute for Barcelona’s last three La Liga matches under manager Hansi Flick.
Kounde reportedly understands Flick’s selection decisions but could consider leaving Barcelona if his lack of regular first-team football continues.
Bayern would face competition from five Premier League clubs for the defender. Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United and Manchester City are also said to be monitoring his situation.
Any potential transfer could be difficult to negotiate because Kounde’s contract with Barcelona runs until 2030.
The former Bordeaux player joined Barcelona from Sevilla in 2022 in a deal worth €50 million. Since moving to the club, he has made 193 appearances in all competitions, scoring 10 goals and providing 22 assists.
