Enyimba extended an unwanted Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) record after suffering a 1-0 home defeat by Inter Lagos in Aba on Sunday.
Ezekiel Moses scored the only goal of the match in the 19th minute, giving Inter Lagos victory in their matchday-four fixture and securing the club’s first-ever win in the NPFL.
The result, reported by Opta Nigeria, means Enyimba have now gone nine consecutive home league matches without winning after being behind at half-time.
Their previous home victory from a losing half-time position came in July 2021, when the Aba Elephants recovered to beat Jigawa Golden Stars 2-1.
For Inter Lagos, the success ended a difficult start to their first NPFL campaign. It was their first league victory and their first points of the season, following three successive defeats.
Enyimba, meanwhile, remain without a win after three matches and sit at the bottom of the table with 0 points. They had previously lost 2-1 away to Niger Tornadoes and 2-0 at Doma United.
