Giorgio Scalvini agrees fresh Atalanta contract after 144 appearances

Atalanta have confirmed that defender Giorgio Scalvini has signed a new contract with the Serie A club.

The 21-year-old, who came through Atalanta’s academy in Bergamo, formally completed the agreement by putting pen to paper. The club has not disclosed the length of the new deal, although earlier reports said it would run until the middle of 2031.

Scalvini has made 144 official appearances for Atalanta’s first team, scoring eight goals and providing six assists.

Atalanta are 11th in the Serie A table after five matches.
