Mateo Kovacic is considering leaving Manchester City during the winter transfer window because of his limited opportunities under manager Enzo Maresca, according to Sportske novosti.

The Croatia midfielder is unhappy with his current situation at the club and believes Maresca’s treatment of him has been unfair. Kovacic feels he has not been given enough playing time since the new manager took charge.
The 32-year-old has played five matches in all competitions this season but has not recorded a goal or an assist. He has also been left on the bench for Manchester City’s past three Premier League games, without making an appearance.

Kovacic’s contract with Manchester City runs until June 2027.
