Former Inter defender Marco Materazzi has praised the work of Cristian Chivu, who took charge of the Nerazzurri last season.
Materazzi said many people had questioned Chivu’s appointment last year, but has now assessed the manager’s work positively.
However, the former Italy defender also called on Inter to improve defensively. The team have already come from two goals behind three times at the start of the current season.
Materazzi’s comments come after a period in which Inter have shown resilience when chasing games, while also conceding enough goals to leave room for concern at the back.
The former defender previously shared his views on the 2006 World Cup final.
