Former Super Eagles head coach Jose Peseiro has turned down the opportunity to manage Turkish Super Lig club Kayserispor, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Peseiro, according to Portuguese news outlet A Bola, held talks with Kayserispor officials but ultimately decided against taking the reins at the struggling club.
Kayserispor are currently 17th in the Turkish Super Lig, with just 16 points from their opening games, and are on a dismal run of five games without a win.
The club is also facing significant financial difficulties and has been banned from registering new players in the next three transfer windows.

Peseiro has been without a job since leaving his role as Super Eagles head coach in February 2024.
