Yenagoa is set to host the 2026 Extraordinary General Assembly of the Nigeria Football Federation today, Monday, March 23, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Governor Douye Diri will officially declare the assembly open at the DSP Alamieyeseigha Banquet Hall.
Top dignitaries expected at the event include Shehu Dikko, Bukola Olopade, Abdul Ningi, and Kabiru Amadu.
The assembly will bring together chairmen and secretaries of Football Associations from the 36 states and the FCT, alongside members of the NFF Executive Committee, league bodies, and other stakeholders, including the Coaches Association, Referees Association, and Players’ Union.
NFF President Ibrahim Musa Gusau is expected to deliver the welcome address before proceedings move into the business session.
Key agenda items include proposed amendments to the NFF Statutes, Electoral Code, and Standing Orders, as well as the appointment of members to the NFF Electoral Committee, Electoral Appeals Committee, and the selection of an independent auditor.
Representatives from FIFA and the Confederation of African Football are already in Nigeria to observe the proceedings of the assembly.
