Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has reached a final agreement with the club to extend his contract, according to the BBC.
Negotiations over a new deal for the Spaniard had been ongoing for several months. The length of the agreement has not yet been confirmed, but it would allow Arteta to remain in charge of Arsenal for at least 10 years.
Arteta took over as Arsenal manager in December 2019.
The new contract is also expected to include a significant increase in his salary. Arteta currently earns £10m (€11.7m) per season, with a further £5m (€5.83m) available in bonuses.
Arsenal won the English title last season, securing the championship for the first time in 22 years.
