Bursaspor coach Mustafa Er says the Turkish TFF Lig club worked hard to sign Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho at a low cost, with the expectation that he would provide goals. The comments were reported by BSNSports.com.ng.
“We got Iheanacho for this reason. We worked very hard for this transfer,” Er said.
“In this league, everyone thinks we're the ones spending money while others aren't.
“A few teams paid higher transfer fees and salaries than what we did for Iheanacho.
“We want the same contribution from our other players as well.”
Iheanacho has started all eight of Bursaspor’s league matches since joining the club and has scored in every one of those appearances.
The 29-year-old has found the net 11 times during that run and has also provided two assists, making him Bursaspor’s most influential attacking player.
