Chelsea have held a long-standing interest in 17-year-old Borussia Dortmund winger Matthis Albert, according to insider Ekrem Konur.
The London club wanted to sign the player in January, but Borussia Dortmund decided to keep him. Any transfer is now only expected to be possible next summer, when Albert turns 18.
Albert is under contract with the German club until the end of June 2027. Transfermarkt experts value the American midfielder at five million euros.
Konur reported Chelsea’s interest on social media, although no deal has been agreed between the clubs.
