Former Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has responded to news that Manchester City have been found guilty of breaching financial regulations, asking: “How many Premier League titles do I have?”
Manchester City were ruled to have violated 114 of the 115 charges brought against them. Possible punishments include points deductions for previous seasons, a financial penalty and even expulsion from the Premier League.
De Gea played for Manchester United from 2011 to 2023. During his time at the club, United won the Premier League once and finished runners-up on three occasions.
On each of those three occasions, Manchester City finished above them.
