Former Spartak Moscow coach Raul Riancho has backed Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Fabian Ruiz to win this year’s Ballon d’Or.
The Spanish coach selected Ruiz when discussing who should receive the prestigious individual award. The Ballon d’Or ceremony is scheduled to take place on Monday, 26 October, in London, England.
Ruiz is regarded by Riancho as the only player who has won both the World Cup and the Champions League.
The previous edition of the award was won by Paris Saint-Germain forward Ousmane Dembele.
