Nigerian forward Gift Orban says newly promoted Amedspor are not intimidated by the prospect of facing Turkish giants Besiktas on Sunday.
Orban’s comments came after he scored a hat-trick in just 23 minutes as Amedspor recorded a 5-0 victory over Istanbul Basaksehir in their latest Turkish Super Lig match.
The forward, who is on loan from Bundesliga side Hoffenheim, has made an immediate impact since joining Amedspor. His goals have helped the club move into a surprise top-three position after collecting 10 points from their opening five games.

Speaking to beIN Sports, Orban acknowledged the quality of their opponents but insisted Amedspor would approach the match with determination rather than fear.
“Yes, we will play against a big team. They have big players, but we go out to fight the match.
“We will be the side that wants to fight and win in the next match.”
The match will give Amedspor the opportunity to measure their early-season progress against one of Turkish football’s biggest clubs. Their confidence has been boosted by the five-goal win and Orban’s outstanding individual display.
The 23-minute hat-trick was the latest sign of the forward’s influence since arriving on loan, while Amedspor’s position among the top three has added significance to their return to the Turkish Super Lig.
Besiktas represent a different level of challenge, but Orban says Amedspor intend to maintain the aggressive approach that has taken them to 10 points from five matches.
