Kelechi Iheanacho scored again for Bursaspor as they moved to the top of the table with a 2-2 home draw against Esenler Erokspor on Sunday.
The Nigeria international put Bursaspor ahead in the 16th minute, continuing an outstanding run of form and underlining his importance to the Turkish side.
Esenler Erokspor responded to secure a point, but Iheanacho’s latest goal took his league total to nine in seven appearances this season. The forward has also provided two assists, further highlighting his influence in Bursaspor’s attacking play.
Iheanacho has consistently delivered since the campaign began, becoming a key figure in the club’s efforts to remain near the top of the table.
The draw took Bursaspor to 16 points, level with second-placed Batman Petrolspor. Bursaspor lead the standings on goal difference.
The result sets up an important meeting next weekend, when the two leading sides will face each other in a potentially decisive top-of-the-table clash.
