Sixteen-year-old Scottish-Nigerian centre-back Dara Jikiemi has joined Liverpool U18 from Celtic Youth, completing a move to the Under-18 Premier League side.
Jikiemi, who plays in central defence, switches clubs on 31 August 2026 after leaving Celtic’s youth set-up. Liverpool U18 are competing in the Under-18 Premier League, marking a move into English youth football for the defender.
Before the transfer, Jikiemi made four appearances in the Lowland League, playing 226 minutes. Those matches represent his recorded senior-level competitive experience before joining Liverpool’s under-18 squad.
The move brings a defender with dual Scottish and Nigerian nationality into Liverpool’s youth structure at the age of 16. His arrival adds to the club’s group of young players competing in the Under-18 Premier League during the 2026-27 season.
Jikiemi’s transfer history records Celtic Youth as his previous club and Liverpool U18 as his new team. His new contract length has not been stated, while the move was completed without a disclosed financial figure.
Jikiemi has now officially completed his switch from Celtic Youth to Liverpool U18.
