Manchester United are considering four potential candidates to replace head coach Michael Carrick, according to journalist Nicolo Schira.
Julian Nagelsmann, Antonio Conte, Eddie Howe and Gareth Southgate are reportedly among the names being assessed for the role.
The speculation follows a difficult start to the Premier League season for Manchester United. They were beaten 3-0 by Bournemouth in their eighth league match and are 16th in the table with seven points.
Manchester United’s next fixture is against Chelsea on 31 October.
Conte has previously said he is not involved in any advanced negotiations, amid reports that Manchester United had made an offer for him.
