Nigeria will play England in the last 16 of the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup after both teams finished second in their respective groups.
The Falconets booked their place in the knockout rounds with a commanding 10-1 victory over New Caledonia on Sunday.
Moses Aduku’s team ended Group F behind Spain, who claimed top spot with nine points. Nigeria collected four points from their three group matches.
England also progressed as runners-up, finishing behind Group B winners Brazil on four points. They advanced ahead of Canada because of their superior team conduct score.
Nigeria and England will meet in Bielsko-Biala on Thursday, September 17.
The last-16 programme begins on Wednesday, when Brazil face the United States in Katowice. Argentina will play Korea Republic at the Arena Sosnowiec on the same day.
Spain will take on Portugal, while Italy have been drawn against China PR in the other Wednesday fixtures.
Three further matches are scheduled for Thursday. France will meet Canada, Poland will play Colombia, and Asian rivals Korea Republic and Japan will face one another at Stadion Miejski LKS in Lodz.
