European club football resumes after the international break, with Victor Osimhen, Alex Iwobi, Gift Orban, Samuel Chukwueze and Tolu Arokodare all set to return to action for their clubs.

Alex Iwobi – Fulham v Ipswich Town

Iwobi will be central to Fulham’s attempt to secure their first league victory of the season against Ipswich Town.

The 30-year-old midfielder has started every Premier League match under manager Alvaro Arbeloa and remains one of the club’s most consistent performers. His creativity, tactical flexibility and experience have been important to Fulham, while his four goals and three assists last season underlined his ability to influence matches in the final third.

His vision, movement and link play could prove decisive against an Ipswich side that has struggled defensively.

Gift Orban – Amedspor v Genclerbirligi

Orban has made an immediate impression since joining newly promoted Amedspor on loan from Hoffenheim.

The 24-year-old has scored seven goals and provided two assists in six league appearances, according to the figures provided, and has also won the Turkish league’s Goal of the Month award.

His form marks a significant recovery after a difficult period and suggests he is rediscovering the goalscoring instinct that previously made him one of Europe’s most promising young forwards. His pace, movement and finishing will be key when Amedspor meet Genclerbirligi.

Samuel Chukwueze – AC Milan v Sassuolo

Chukwueze will hope to extend his recent improvement when AC Milan face Sassuolo.

The Nigeria winger has reportedly been used in a more defensive role by Ruben Amorim, operating as a right wing-back while continuing to offer an attacking threat. He has recorded two assists in five Serie A appearances.

His pace, dribbling and creativity could give Milan an important outlet, while his defensive work will be tested again in his adapted position. The tactical change has reportedly been praised by Milan legend Mauro Tassotti, adding to the focus on Chukwueze’s development.

Tolu Arokodare – Ajax v NEC Nijmegen

Arokodare is targeting another productive display when Ajax host NEC Nijmegen in the Eredivisie.

Since joining Ajax on loan in July, the striker has scored six goals and supplied two assists in nine appearances, according to the figures provided. He has grown in confidence after a difficult spell at Wolverhampton Wanderers.

His physical strength, aerial ability and finishing could trouble NEC, particularly with Ajax having scored 21 goals in seven league matches. NEC are reportedly struggling defensively, giving Arokodare another chance to add to his tally.

Victor Osimhen – Galatasaray v Kas?mpasa

Osimhen could return for Galatasaray against Kas?mpasa after nearly a month out with an adductor injury.

Before the setback, he scored six goals and contributed two assists in four league appearances. His pace, strength, movement and finishing would strengthen Galatasaray’s attack as they seek to maintain momentum in the domestic title race.

His fitness remains the key issue, with the club keen to avoid risking a recurrence. If cleared to play, Osimhen will be one of the weekend’s main attractions.
