Ranchers Bees FC have been handed a N5 million fine by the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) following a breach of the competition’s Framework and Rules during their Matchday 6 encounter against Rivers United, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The sanction follows an incident involving a Ranchers Bees player who was captured on video physically attacking a Rivers United player during or after the fixture.
In addition to the financial penalty, the NPFL has directed Ranchers Bees to identify the player involved and submit his details to the appropriate authorities.
The club has been given until Thursday, October 1, 2026, to officially disclose the identity of the player.
Further disciplinary action is expected against the individual once his identity has been established and formally submitted by the club.
The NPFL’s decision adds another disciplinary matter to Ranchers Bees’ campaign as the league continues to enforce its regulations on player and club conduct.
