Sporting Lagos technical adviser Jeffery Buter wants his team to maintain their momentum when they face Abia Warriors in the NPFL on Sunday.
The Lagos-based side secured their first victory of the campaign last weekend, beating Inter Lagos 3-0 in an impressive display.
They will now meet Abia Warriors in a Matchday 4 fixture at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, as they attempt to follow up that result with another positive performance.
Buter said the focus within the squad was on continuing to improve while approaching each fixture individually.
“Yes, it’s important that we keep up with the impressive performance. We have to take it one game at a time,” Buter told the club’s media.
“The win against Inter Lagos was important, but it’s done. We now look forward to the next game against Abia Warriors.”
Sporting Lagos currently sit 10th in the NPFL table with three points from two games.
Buter also warned that the schedule would become demanding later this month, with Sporting Lagos set to play four matches in 10 days.
“We have a long month ahead, with four games in 10 days coming towards the latter stage of the month. We will be ready,” he said.
