The Super Eagles will hold their first training session in Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom, on Tuesday as they prepare for their opening 2027 African Cup of Nations qualifier against Madagascar.
Nigeria will face Madagascar in Uyo on Friday, September 25, with the squad’s initial workout taking place at their base in Ikot Ekpene.
The schedule was confirmed on Monday night by Super Eagles media officer Promise Efoghe.
The opening 15 minutes of Tuesday’s training session will be open to the media, allowing reporters to cover the start of the team’s preparations before the remainder of the workout takes place behind closed doors.
Efoghe also announced that the entire squad will attend a media session on Wednesday. The players are expected to give exclusive interviews at the team’s base in Ikot Ekpene.
The Madagascar fixture will mark the beginning of Nigeria’s qualifying campaign for the 2027 African Cup of Nations.
The Super Eagles will then travel to face Guinea-Bissau in their second matchday fixture on Tuesday, September 29.
