Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen is expected to resume individual training before the end of this week as he continues his recovery from injury.
The Nigeria international has been sidelined since suffering the problem during Galatasaray’s victory over Istanbul Basaksehir last month. He has missed the club’s past three matches in all competitions as a result.
Osimhen was also unavailable for Nigeria’s 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixtures against Madagascar and Guinea-Bissau.
According to Turkish newspaper Sabah, the 27-year-old’s treatment has been progressing successfully and his recovery remains on schedule.
He is expected to return to competitive action when Galatasaray face Kas?mpasa in the Turkish Super Lig after the international break.
If he is fit for that match, Osimhen could be in contention to start Galatasaray’s home UEFA Champions League fixture against Barcelona.
