Ghana’s Black Sharks have intensified preparations for their two-legged Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations qualifying showdown with Nigeria, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The West African rivals will battle over two legs for a place at the continental beach soccer tournament, with the first encounter scheduled to take place in Kaduna, Nigeria, on October 10.

Ghana will then have home advantage in the return fixture, which is billed for Keta on October 18, eight days after the opening leg.

The Black Sharks are continuing their training programme as the technical crew works on the team’s tactics, fitness and overall preparations ahead of the important tie.

Nigeria will host the first meeting before the Ghanaian side welcomes the Super Sand Eagles for the second leg.

With qualification for the Beach Soccer AFCON at stake, both teams will be aiming to gain an advantage from the opening encounter before the decisive return fixture in Ghana.

The two-leg tie is expected to produce another competitive meeting between the neighbouring West African nations as they battle for a place among Africa’s leading beach soccer teams.
