Sunshine Stars have confirmed the appointment of Abubakar Bala as the new head coach, following the resignation of former Coach Kennedy Boboye, Nigeriasoccernet.com can report.
Boboye resigned after he stated he was not given the freedom to make independent decisions on the team
Bala guided Niger Tornadoes to two FA Cup finals in 2016 and 2019 and he had stints with Kwara United, Lobi Stars, Katsina United, and Doma United.
Coach Bala last coached Doma United and resigned after 3 months with the club which later got relegated at the end of the 2023/2024 season.
Sunshine Stars have struggled in the term thus with a 0-1 loss at home against Shooting Stars Sports Club and Bala will be expected to turn the club's fortune.
