Borussia Monchengladbach have appointed Alexander Blessin as their new head coach after dismissing Eugen Polanski in mid-September.
Polanski was sacked following four defeats in the opening four matches of the Bundesliga season. Borussia confirmed that Blessin has now signed a contract running until the middle of 2028.
The 53-year-old German previously managed St Pauli, who were relegated from Germany’s top division during his tenure. Before that, he worked with Belgian clubs Union Saint-Gilloise and Oostende, Italian side Genoa and German club RB Leipzig.
Borussia Monchengladbach are bottom of the Bundesliga table after four rounds.
