Arsenal forward Christos Tzolis could be sidelined for about three weeks after sustaining a hamstring injury while playing for Greece against the Netherlands in the Nations League.

The 24-year-old suffered the problem early in the match but initially wanted to continue. Greece manager Ivan Jovanovic eventually insisted that Tzolis leave the pitch and be replaced.

Tzolis underwent an examination on Friday, with preliminary assessments suggesting he could be unavailable for around 20 days, according to The Standard.

The injury is expected to rule him out of Greece’s match against Germany. He could also miss Arsenal’s next three fixtures after the international break.

Those matches are against Leeds on 10 October, Lille on 13 October and Nottingham Forest on 18 October.
