South Africa's under-17 women's team, Bantwana, are determined to secure a spot at the 2025 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup, says head coach Ntombifuthi Khumalo, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Bantwana host Nigeria's Flamingos in the first leg of their second qualifying round tie at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Pretoria on Saturday.

Khumalo's side thrashed Gabon 22-1 on aggregate in the first round, but the coach acknowledges that Nigeria will be a tougher challenge.

"We want to go to the World Cup," Khumalo said.

"Our plan is to make sure that after each and every 15-minute period, we introduce how we defend, so that we don't concede."

The match kicks off at 15:00 local time (14:00 in Nigeria), with the winner on aggregate advancing to the final qualifying round.
