Barcelona are preparing to offer Gerard Martin a new contract, according to Barca Universal, citing RadioMARCA.
The 24-year-old defender joined Barcelona in 2023 for €100,000, initially arriving as a full-back. However, head coach Hansi Flick has since converted him into a central defender.
Martin has made six La Liga appearances this season, starting five of those matches.
His current agreement with Barcelona runs until the summer of 2028. Transfermarkt values the Spanish defender at €25m.
