Super Eagles duo Calvin Bassey and Fisayo Dele-Bashiru have linked up with the Nigeria camp in Warsaw as preparations intensify for Wednesday’s international friendly against Poland, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Nigerian national team opened camp in the Polish capital on June 1, with 20 players taking part in the squad’s final training session ahead of the highly anticipated encounter.

Nigeria head into the fixture in high spirits after their impressive 3-0 victory over Jamaica in the Unity Cup final last weekend, a triumph that secured a record fourth Unity Cup title and boosted confidence within the squad.

During Tuesday’s session, head coach Éric Chelle and his technical crew put the players through tactical drills and fitness exercises as they fine-tuned plans for the game against the Poles.

The goalkeeping department featured Maduka Okoye, Francis Uzoho and Arthur Okonkwo, while defenders Calvin Bassey, Semi Ajayi, Zaidu Sanusi, Bruno Onyemaechi, Igoh Ogbu and Emmanuel Fernandez also trained with the team.

In midfield, Wilfred Ndidi, Raphael Onyedika, Frank Onyeka, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, Tochukwu Nnadi and Abdullahi Ibrahim were all involved.

The attacking unit included Moses Simon, Terem Moffi, Paul Onuachu, Akor Adams and Rafiu Durosinmi as the Super Eagles continued preparations for the friendly.

The match against Poland is expected to provide another opportunity for the coaching staff to assess players, build team chemistry and test tactical options ahead of upcoming competitive fixtures.

Fresh from their Unity Cup success, the Super Eagles will be aiming to maintain their winning momentum when they take on Poland in Warsaw on Wednesday night.
