Borussia Dortmund have agreed terms with head coach Niko Kovac on a new contract, according to BILD.
The 54-year-old will extend his stay with the German club until the middle of 2029. His current agreement was due to expire at the end of June 2027.
The decision follows discussions between Kovac and the club, who are satisfied with the work he has done since taking charge.
Borussia Dortmund have made a perfect start to the Bundesliga season, collecting 12 points from their opening four matches. They lead the table, two points clear of Bayern Munich.
Kovac’s side will return to Bundesliga action at home against Werder Bremen. The match is scheduled to take place on 9 October.
