Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka has undergone a scan after being forced off in Tuesday’s 2-2 Champions League draw with Bayern Munich.
A precise diagnosis is not yet known, according to Now Arsenal, but the injury could keep him out for anything from two weeks until Christmas.
The first possibility is a grade-one strain, which would result in an absence of around two weeks. A grade-two tear would require a longer recovery and could rule Saka out until Christmas.
A grade-three tear is considered unlikely because Saka was able to leave the pitch without assistance or crutches.
Saka was injured in the first half after stretching to reach the ball before striking it. He was unable to continue and was substituted.
The injury occurred during an otherwise even Champions League contest between Arsenal and Bayern Munich, which ended 2-2.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta said there were “concerns” about Saka’s condition.
