Bukayo Saka has been awarded the Socrates Prize at the Ballon d’Or ceremony in London.

The Arsenal and England attacking midfielder received the honour for his humanitarian work. The award is presented to members of the football community in recognition of their contribution to humanitarian causes.

The Socrates Prize was introduced at the Ballon d’Or ceremony in 2022, when it was won by Sadio Mane. Vinicius Junior, Jennifer Hermoso and the Luis Enrique Foundation have received the award since then.

Saka is the latest name to join that list as the ceremony continues in London.

The rest of the Ballon d’Or event, including the presentation of its main award, is being followed in a live text report on LiveResult.
