Dannaz Football Club has written its name in the folklores of Nigeria football following the nervy victory in the finals of the Lagos State Women/President Federation Cup yesterday at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan Stadium, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The Cedars defeated Unification Ladies courtesy of a second-half spot kick that was coolly dispatched by Omotoke Ogunfunwa to hand the team their first trophy since its inception.
They have now emerged as the new winner after Robo Queens' 14-year reign was ended by Unification Ladies. Dannaz Ladies will now officially represent Lagos State at the national level with draws set to take place next month.
Dannaz Football Club can then boast as the only club to win both male and female Lagos President/Federation Cup after the male team's triumph against Ottasolo FC back in 2022.
