Davide Ancelotti, a former Real Madrid coach who worked on his father Carlo Ancelotti’s coaching staff, believes Rodri would have been an ideal addition to the Spanish club.
Real Madrid were keen to sign the Manchester City midfielder during the summer transfer window, but the Spain international chose Barcelona instead.
“Real Madrid have lost the best player in the world in his position,” Davide Ancelotti said.
Real Madrid are currently fourth in La Liga after seven matches, having collected 15 points.
