Como defeated Sassuolo 2-0 at home in the eighth round of the Italian championship, with Anastasios Douvikas scoring both goals for Cesc Fabregas’ side.

The match was goalless at half-time, but the hosts quickly took control after the interval. Douvikas opened the scoring in the 49th minute, putting Como ahead and giving them greater confidence as they continued to press Sassuolo’s defence.

The Greece forward struck again 11 minutes later to complete his double and extend Como’s advantage. The second goal left Sassuolo needing to respond, but the visitors were unable to find a way past the home defence.

Como held on to secure a 2-0 victory.
