Erling Haaland appears to have helped drive a significant increase in carrot sales in Norway, according to a report by talkSPORT.
Sales of the vegetable rose by about 25% in July 2026 compared with the same month last year, with approximately 600 more tonnes sold, Norwegian nutritionist Iselin Sagen said.
Sagen attributed the surge in popularity to an advertising campaign featuring the Manchester City and Norway striker. The advert was shown in Norway before each World Cup match and featured Haaland travelling in a lorry while eating carrots.
The 25-year-old has also made a strong start to the current season on the pitch. Haaland has scored five goals in five Premier League matches and is currently top of the competition’s scoring charts.
