England captain Harry Kane has played down the importance of winning the Ballon d’Or for the first time in his career, saying his immediate focus is on the national team.
Kane’s England side will face Spain in the Nations League tomorrow, with the striker concentrating on that fixture rather than the individual award.
The Ballon d’Or ceremony will take place in London on 26 October.
