Olivier Letang, Lille's president has hailed the versatility of new acquisition Chuba Akpom, admitting that his ability to play in quiet a handful of position will give the team an added advantage, Nigeriasoccernet.com writes.
The Ligue 1 outfit completed a loan deal for the Nigeria international who will stay in France until the end of the season from Ajax although with option to buy.
Following his presentation, Olivier Letang spoke to the club's media where he expressed his delight over the new addition; "It is with great pleasure that we announce the arrival of Chuba. We have been following him for a very long time, he has played in big clubs and he has experience in European competitions. We had already wanted to bring him in the past but it had not been possible.
"Chuba is a striker capable of playing in different positions, in several positions on the front of the attack. He will bring complementary qualities to the current group so that we are even stronger. His human qualities will allow him to integrate very quickly into our squad. Chuba really pushed to join us and we are very happy that he is now part of the Dogues family. Welcome Chuba."
It is expected that Akpom's arrival will offer the LOSC squad a significant reinforcement and new offensive possibilities as they approach an extremely dense and rich second half of the season, in the Championship, the UEFA Champions League and the Coupe de France.
