Inter Milan are considering a move for Udinese goalkeeper Maduka Okoye as they assess their defensive options ahead of the January transfer window.
The Nigeria international has impressed with his consistent performances in Serie A and has emerged as a serious candidate for the Nerazzurri, according to Italian newspaper Il Messaggero Veneto.
Okoye, 27, is viewed as a player whose experience could help meet Inter Milan’s needs during the second half of the season. He has made seven appearances for Udinese this campaign and has kept one clean sheet.
However, any potential deal is likely to depend on whether Inter Milan are prepared to meet Udinese’s asking price. The Italian club value their goalkeeper at 20 million euros.
Okoye remains under contract with Udinese until 2028, although his current market value is estimated at 10 million euros. He earns an annual salary of 900,000 euros, equivalent to 590,361,300 FCFA, in Italy.
Udinese are due to play their seventh Serie A match of the season against US Lecce next.
