Nigerian-English midfielder Joe Aribo, currently without a club, has been linked with a move to League One side Wycombe.
The 30-year-old central midfielder left Southampton on 1 July after returning from a loan spell at Leicester, where he spent the second half of the 2025-26 season. Aribo joined Leicester from Southampton on loan on 2 February 2026, before the temporary move ended on 30 June.
Aribo moved to Southampton from Rangers in July 2022 for a reported €8.2m fee. He made 53 Premier League appearances for the club, scoring five goals, and also featured 32 times in the Europa League during his career.
A move to Wycombe would return Aribo to the level where he first established himself in English football. He made 81 League One appearances for Charlton, scoring 14 goals and providing 13 assists, before joining Rangers on a free transfer in 2019.
Aribo won the Scottish Premiership with Rangers in the 2020-21 season and the Scottish Cup the following campaign. His current market value is listed at €1.8m.
The reported link with Wycombe emerged on 2 September, with the club competing in League One. Aribo remains without a club, and the rumour has not been confirmed as a completed transfer.
