Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has explained why he chose Paris Saint-Germain when he left Napoli in January 2025, despite interest from several other leading European clubs.
The Georgia winger recalled the decision to join the French side, who completed his signing from Napoli during the winter transfer window.
Paris Saint-Germain’s stature and ambitions made the club his preferred option as he considered his next move. Kvaratskhelia has since enjoyed considerable success in France.
In his first year and a half with Paris Saint-Germain, he has won the Champions League twice and collected a large number of domestic trophies.
The 1.5-year spell has therefore brought Kvaratskhelia major honours both in European competition and on the domestic stage.
