Liverpool will not offer midfielder Alexis Mac Allister a new contract, according to Bernabeu Digital.
The 27-year-old Argentina international’s current deal runs until June 2028. However, the report claims Mac Allister is expected to leave Liverpool at the end of the season.
Mac Allister previously acknowledged that he could have departed Liverpool during the summer. He has also said he is very disappointed that the club has still not offered him improved terms.
Real Madrid are closely monitoring the situation and could try to sign the midfielder in the near future. Manchester City are also interested in the player.
Should Mac Allister leave, Liverpool could consider Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott and Monaco midfielder Lamine Camara as possible replacements.
