Manchester United have started the process of identifying a potential new manager, with Michael Carrick’s position under threat following the team’s disappointing results.
According to a report published by the BBC, three coaches are interested in taking charge at Old Trafford: Eddie Howe, Antonio Conte and Julian Nagelsmann.
All three managers are currently without clubs, meaning they are free to consider the possibility of joining Manchester United if the role becomes available.
Carrick could be dismissed in the near future as the club reviews the team’s performances. Manchester United are currently 13th in the English league table, increasing pressure on the former midfielder and his coaching staff.
The team’s next match is scheduled for 25 October, when Manchester United will host Bournemouth.
