Arsenal are moving closer to extending Martin Ødegaard’s contract, according to football transfer reporter Nicolo Schira.

The Norway attacking midfielder is regarded by the club as a key, untouchable member of the squad. Arsenal have previously rejected several approaches for Ødegaard from Saudi Arabia and leading European clubs.

Ødegaard, 27, has made eight appearances across all competitions this season and scored four goals.

His current Arsenal contract runs until the middle of 2028. Transfermarkt values the midfielder at €70m.
