Napoli reportedly in negotiation with Al Ahli for Victor Osimhen's summer exit

Published on: 09 February 2025

Napoli has reached a complete agreement with Al Ahli for the transfer of Victor Osimhen according to reports from transfer expert Fabrizio Romano. The total deal is worth between €75 and €80 million and Al Ahli has already scheduled a medical for the player. Nigeriasoccernet.com reports

Osimhen is set to sign a four-year contract with a net annual salary of between €25 and €30 million, which includes a release clause but the final decision rests with Osimhen.

This news comes after reports that Newcastle were interested in signing Osimhen last summer but were deterred by Napoli's £113 million asking price. While Napoli is keen to sell Osimhen, his release clause is set to decrease this summer. Galatasaray, where Osimhen is currently on loan would like to keep him but cannot afford a permanent transfer.

One potential obstacle for Newcastle could be Osimhen's wage demands. He reportedly earned over £200,000 per week at Napoli, although this is believed to have decreased to around £110,000 per week during his loan spell at Galatasaray. It remains to be seen whether Newcastle would be willing to meet his wage expectations.
