Nigeria Premier Football League side Niger Tornadoes have intensified efforts to expand their international presence after sending a high-powered delegation to Turkey to explore a potential partnership with a foreign club, NigeriaSoccernet.com reports.
The delegation is being led by club chairman Dr Abubakar Kuso and includes Sporting Director Mojeed Ibrahim “Greenboi”, Hon. Jacob Baba Yisa and Alhaji Ibrahim Audi.
The proposed discussions are expected to cover several areas, including player development, international transfers, technical cooperation and commercial opportunities.
The initiative is part of Niger Tornadoes’ broader strategy to increase the club’s commercial value while establishing stronger relationships with clubs and football organisations outside Nigeria.
A potential partnership could also provide the Minna-based club with opportunities to expose young players to international football, strengthen its technical structures and create pathways for talent development and transfers.
The Turkish visit comes as Niger Tornadoes continue work on upgrades to the Bako Kontagora Stadium and other club facilities.
The club believes improvements to its infrastructure, combined with stronger international partnerships, will create a better environment for player development and contribute to its long-term sporting and commercial ambitions.
